Domenica D'Agostino is a graphic designer who graduated from the ECAL. She worked in numerous agencies and studios in Switzerland, and is currently teaching in a school of applied arts (eracom) in Lausanne.
With her love for fabrics and illustration, she develops her artistic approach and led her to create in 2016 a Swiss label of scarves: D'S. Printed in the Netherlands, on high-quality fabrics (silk, wool, modal-cashmere or crepe viscose), like a painting in three dimensions each piece is a unique creation. Scarves are cut and hand rolled by Domenica in her studio in Lausanne, Switzerland.
In 2020, she co-founded Issima, a label that celebrates silk with poetic prints, a capsule collection of exclusive dresses, tops and kimonos. Each piece tell the story of a woman in love with detail and uniqueness.
Since 2021, she also offers her designs for brands and fabric manufacturers. Her artistic practice ranges from drawing, pastels, photography to digital tools. Playing with this mix of techniques and overlays, her patterns are eminently organic and inspired by nature."The flowers that brighten up a meadow, the seaweed that undulates: all the natural elements speak to me, but above all, water."
